Traveling during the holidays: how to take long trips with the kids- car

It used to be when children knew that that the family would be taking a long road trip they would be so unhappy just thinking about how bored they would be for many hours. It always seemed like their parents ideas of fun was like some kind of long road trip torture.

If you know that your going to be traveling all day long. You will need things to make everyone comfortable. Some neck pillows are great, you can relax during the trip. They sell them for kids now too! Have some small blankets in the car for taking naps.

Pack a small cooler with healthy Snacks, water bottles and juices. Avoid salty refreshments, they make you want to drink more and that leads to more stopping for bathroom breaks.

Travel car bingo is fun too! Let the kids bring along their toy Laptop so that they can get all their work done! Activity books are great too! Portable movie player and movies. Some kids really like listening to books on tape.

A new notebook and some pencils, pens, colored pencils and markers can serve as a Journal they can write all about their trip!
